Gallery Artist Statement​

Rocky Harrigan creates contemporary oil paintings that explore legacy, stewardship, and the enduring values that connect generations.

Her subjects range from historic places and landscapes to industrial forms and symbolic Americana, unified by a common thread: the preservation of stories worth remembering. Drawing from a background in manufacturing and entrepreneurship, she approaches each work with a respect for craftsmanship, discipline, and intentional design.

While much of her practice involves commissioned works for private collectors, Harrigan’s gallery paintings investigate broader themes of memory, sacrifice, faith, freedom, and renewal. Through carefully constructed compositions, she transforms familiar objects and places into reflections on what endures beyond a single lifetime.

Her work invites viewers to consider not only what has been inherited, but what will be passed forward.
